Since March 2020 we have successfully provided online careers guidance to thousands of students. We adapted to the changing times and have found this approach to be very effective. Students respond well, and in most cases are more comfortable. Schools have concluded this is the way forward for most in the future.
We can discuss and assist in the different approaches, such as platforms and general scheduling. The EC Careers team are briefed on your school policy in respect to safeguarding (eg no video, recorded, having parent present) as we understand that all our schools have different policies in regard to this. EC Careers have their own policies available at request.
Online delivery is a tried and tested solution and we are now well established in this new way of providing excellent careers guidance.

No disruption to lessons
Sessions can be scheduled before school, during free periods, or after hours — fitting around your timetable rather than cutting into it.

Students who find face-to-face appointments daunting often open up more readily in a familiar environment. Virtual sessions remove a common barrier to engagement.
Fully qualified advisers
Every session is delivered by a Level 6 or 7 qualified careers adviser — the same professionals who deliver our in-school programme.
Secure and confidential
We use the school's own platform wherever possible, keeping your safeguarding team in complete control. Where preferred, we can provide a platform — the choice is always yours.
Flexible scheduling
Sessions are available across the week including early mornings and late afternoons, making it easy to reach students who are hard to timetable in school.
Gatsby Benchmark evidence
Virtual sessions count towards your Benchmark 8 evidence in exactly the same way as in-person appointments. We provide the same reporting and documentation.
