What we offer

What your students will receive

Every student who works with EC Careers receives personalised, impartial guidance from a Level 6 or 7 qualified careers adviser. We take time to understand each individual — their interests, abilities, and aspirations — before helping them explore the full range of pathways available to them.

Our advisers are experienced in working with students across all year groups and ability ranges. Whether a student is highly motivated and needs help narrowing their options, or uncertain and in need of encouragement, we meet them where they are.

The session

What a guidance session looks like for your students

Every session is tailored to the individual student. Here is how a typical one-to-one guidance appointment works in practice.

01

Getting to know the student

The adviser begins by building rapport and understanding the student's personality, interests, academic profile and any concerns they have — creating a safe, open space for honest conversation.

02

Exploring strengths and interests

Together, the adviser and student explore what the student enjoys, what they are good at, and what kind of future they can imagine for themselves — without pressure or preconceptions.

03

Mapping out the options

The adviser walks the student through the pathways relevant to their stage — A levels, BTECs, apprenticeships, university, gap years, international study — explaining what each one really involves.

04

Building a clear action plan

Every student leaves with a written action plan — specific, realistic next steps they can take straight away. The adviser follows up with the student and, where appropriate, with your Careers Leader.

We provide termly reports and are happy to contribute directly to your school's Compass+ self-evaluation — making it straightforward to demonstrate the quality of your careers provision to Ofsted and governors.
